Fundamentally, the first five years of a childs life are the most important in terms of their lifelong outcomes. It is a privilege to be a part of our children's futures. Focusing on a child-centred approach we know how best to equip each child with the skills required to live healthy, happy and inspiring lives whilst promoting a love of learning through play-based interactions.
Recent restraints due to the pandemic has placed copious strains on everyone. We have gladly remained open throughout most of the pandemic and have a secure risk assessment and outbreak management plan in place. We offer government funding options for our UK families to ease the cover of some of the costs.
As well as the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) 2020 curriculum, we offer a host of other inclusive activities that children love to get involved in. There are daily opportunities for Music and Movement, cooking club, rhyme time, dough disco's and much more. We also take small groups of children on local walks to explore and learn about their community and local environment.
Additional first-hand experiences such as Little Kickers, Izzy's Yoga and Sooty the pony also visit our children at the setting regularly.
Pound Hill Toybox is a charity that has been registered since 1992, and has adopted many improvements along the way. We are a small preschool managed by an experienced committee, inspected and registered with Ofsted.
Benefitting from being a fun, friendly and fully inclusive setting, Toybox provides exceptional care within a safe and free-flow enabling environment.
We are open weekdays during term time only from 8.30am to 2.30pm, for children aged 2 to 5 years old.
At Toybox, we know that the first five years of a child’s life are the most important. We strive to provide quality childcare and education for all children that is appropriate to their individual needs.
